Barks to Lead Discussion about “Off the Record” Interviews at PRSA Health Conference

The Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) 2011 Health Academy Conference in Washington, D.C., will feature a session led by Barks Communications President Ed Barks titled, “The Rules of the Road: What is ‘On the Record?’” Barks will be joined at the April 28 discussion by co-presenter Steve Erickson, Chief Communication Officer at the American College of Cardiology.

The presentation is based on Barks’ report, “Can We Talk Off the Record? Resolving Disagreements, Increasing Understanding Between Reporters and Public Relations Practitioners,” which issues 10 best practice recommendations for reporters and public relations practitioners to follow regarding off the record media interviews.
